If you’re someone who spots inefficiencies, fixes them, and thrives in a fast-moving SME environment, this will suit you.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Stock Control

  • Ensure deliveries are checked, booked in, and stored correctly
  • Manage dispatch to customers and internal site transfers
  • Maintain accurate inventory across multiple locations within ERP/MRP systems
  • Oversee timely and accurate kitting of components to support production schedules
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, materials control, and production teams
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy through robust systems and cycle counting
  • Investigate discrepancies using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Implement structured storage systems to improve accessibility and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse aligned with Health & Safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate, auditable documentation

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, develop, and support warehouse and inventory personnel
  • Set clear expectations and manage performance
  • Build a high-performing, accountable team culture
  • Ensure consistent adherence to training, safety, and operational best practices

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations (efficiency, accuracy, scalability)
  • Develop and implement SOPs and best practices
  • Use data and reporting to monitor performance and identify improvements
  • Maintain accurate stock data within ERP/MRP systems
  • Track and report on key warehouse KPIs

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in a warehouse or stores management/supervisory role
  • Background within manufacturing or a similar production environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and stock management
  • Experience leading or managing a small team
  • Comfortable using ERP/MRP or stock control systems
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solver who can operate in a fast-paced environment
